Sustaining Engineer

£38,000 - £48,000 DOE + Bonus + Holidays + Flexi-time + Private Healthcare + Pension
Excellent opportunity for a Sustaining Engineer to join a leading-edge technology company in the Scottish Highlands, working on innovative hardware solutions with global applications across industries.
This company specialises in the development of automated test systems and is at the forefront of hardware testing solutions. With a strong reputation for reliability and quality, they are continuing to grow and are now looking to add a technically strong, hands-on engineer to their team.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and sustaining the company's existing hardware product range. You will identify and resolve hardware issues, support RMAs, and work closely with both design and production teams to maintain product reliability and performance. The position offers a wide range of responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and being involved across the product lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience), commercial experience in a similar role, and excellent fault finding, debugging and lab-based skills. You'll also be a confident communicator and have a methodical approach to problem-solving.

The Role:
Support and sustain existing hardware products, ensuring reliability and performance
Diagnose and resolve hardware issues and assist with RMAs
Liaise with design and production teams to feedback insights and improvements
Work on-site in a varied and hands-on engineering environment
The Person:
Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Commercial experience in hardware or sustaining engineering
Strong debugging, lab skills, and a detail-oriented mindset
Confident in verbal and written technical communication
