Software Designer - Embedded VoIP Systems
United States - Remote (EST)
$100,000 - $140,000 + Bonus + Profit Sharing + 401(k) + Dental + PTO + Holiday + Flexible Hours
Are you a skilled Software Designer with deep experience in embedded VoIP systems, Linux, and microcontroller development, looking for a hands-on role with the opportunity to shape new products in the land mobile radio space?

This is an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise while taking ownership of projects from concept to delivery. You will work on small, embedded VoIP systems, enhancing existing software and developing prototypes for new product lines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and be instrumental in defining, implementing, and refining software that drives critical product functionality.

The Role:
*Develop firmware and software for small, embedded VoIP systems
*Maintain and enhance existing software for new functionality
*Work on prototype development for new products
*Ensure network, VoIP, and audio device requirements are met
*Collaborate with electronics engineers and other team members on development
The Person:
*Strong experience in Linux OS/Linux kernel for embedded appliances
*Proficient in VoIP systems: Asterisk, SIP, Multicast/RTP audio, WebRTC
*Experience with USB audio devices and audio codecs: G711, ALaw, ULaw, G729, SPEEX, Opus
*Skilled in microcontrollers (STM32, ARM, PIC, MSP430) and embedded systems
*US-based, able to work Eastern Time Zone hours
