I am currently representing an international packaging machinery manufacturer that designs and produces automated, right-sized packaging solutions for customers worldwide. Established in 1980, the company has a global presence and an annual turnover over €150 million. They are looking to recruit two Site-Based Service Technicians to support their customers in the Netherlands as they continue to expand their installed machinery base.

In this role, you will be based on a customer site in Waalwijk, where you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing packaging machinery. You will carry out preventative and predictive maintenance, as well as responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and ensure customers receive an excellent service.

The successful candidates will have a background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with hands-on experience working with machinery. The company will provide training on its equipment and opportunities to develop further technical skills, including PLCs.

You will be joining an established international business offering stable employment, technical development, and long-term career progression, with opportunities to progress into supervisory, lead engineer, or training positions.

The Role:

• Carry out mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on packaging machinery at a customer site.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to maximise machine reliability.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns and resolve faults efficiently.
• Maintain and repair equipment to minimise customer downtime.
• Develop technical knowledge of machinery, controls, and PLCs through training.
• Work closely with colleagues and engineers to deliver excellent customer service.

The Candidate:

• Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance of machinery.
• Fluent in English.
• Eligible to work in the Netherlands without employer sponsorship.
• Willing to work shifts, typically 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00.
• Dutch language skills are desirable but not essential.
