Are you an Automation Engineer or PLC Programmer looking to take full ownership of complex maritime systems, working end-to-end from design through commissioning within a specialist engineering group?

On offer is a permanent role within a well-established maritime automation and sensor solutions business, where you'll be trusted as the technical expert delivering bespoke propulsion and drive control projects across shipbuilding and transport technology.

This company design, develop and deliver complete automation solutions from initial concept through to commissioning and aftersales support. Due to continued new project wins and growth, they are now looking to expand their automation capability in Rostock.

In this role you will develop and program CODESYS PLC solutions, integrate SCADA/visualisation platforms, and work closely with internal engineering teams and external suppliers. You'll also test, troubleshoot and commission systems, with occasional national/international travel to customer sites and vessels.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Automation Engineer looking for high-impact technical work, real responsibility, and a clear route into project management longer-term.

The Role:

• Develop and program maritime automation systems using CODESYS PLCs
• Integrate drive controls, propulsion systems, and SCADA/visualisation platforms
• Commissioning and troubleshooting, with occasional travel to customer sites/vessels
• Create technical documentation and reusable software components

The Person:

• Advanced PLC/automation experience (CODESYS preferred)
• SCADA/visualisation experience (e.g. Galileo or similar)
• German and English to at least B2 level
