Are you looking for an opportunity to work on electrical design for advanced ship automation systems?
Do you have experience with EPLAN, control cabinet design and electrical engineering?

I am currently representing a well-established company operating within the maritime and ship automation industry. They specialise in the design, development and servicing of automation systems for vessels and are looking to add an experienced Electrical Engineering Design Engineer to their team in Rostock.

In this role, you will be responsible for the functional and system design of ship automation systems, creating detailed electrical and manufacturing documentation using EPLAN. You will work closely with internal departments including development, workshop and service, as well as communicating directly with customers to adapt designs to their individual requirements.

The successful candidate will have a background in electrical engineering, with several years of experience in CAD design of control cabinets and automation systems. Strong EPLAN knowledge is essential, alongside excellent written and spoken English.

You will be joining a technically focused team where you will have the opportunity to work across the full design process, contribute to the development of existing CAD systems and collaborate with multiple specialist departments.

The Role:

• Functional and system design of ship automation systems
• Create electrical design and manufacturing documentation using EPLAN
• Produce technical documentation and system descriptions
• Coordinate designs with workshop, development and service teams
• Communicate with customers and adapt designs to their requirements
• Maintain and further develop existing CAD systems

The Candidate:

• Completed electrical engineering technician training, degree or comparable qualification
• Several years' experience in CAD design of control cabinets and automation systems
• Strong knowledge of electrical system planning and design
• EPLAN experience is essential
• Experience coordinating technical projects is desirable
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented approach
