Are you looking for an opportunity to take ownership of energy efficiency and sustainability across a large-scale manufacturing plant?

Do you have experience implementing ISO 50001 and want to play a key role in reducing energy consumption?
I am currently representing a global food manufacturing company specialising in edible oils and specialist blends used across the food and wider manufacturing industries. With a global turnover of approximately €4.5 billion, they are continuing to invest in sustainability and are looking for an experienced Energy Engineer to join their Rotterdam operation.

This is a newly created position driven by new regulations and the company's goal of becoming more sustainable and energy efficient. You will take ownership of the implementation of ISO 50001 across the plant, identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption, and advise on new systems and technologies.

The successful candidate will have previous experience implementing ISO 50001, alongside an electrical/technical background. You will need to be an experienced professional rather than someone at junior level, with strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.

You will be joining a large, established organisation with significant opportunities for upskilling, including company systems and project management training.

The Role:

• Lead the implementation of ISO 50001 across the plant
• Train teams on energy-efficient working practices
• Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities for savings
• Advise on new systems and technologies to improve energy efficiency
• Work with the company's newly implemented SAP system
• Support the company's wider sustainability and energy reduction goals

The Candidate:

• Proven experience implementing ISO 50001
• Electrical or relevant technical background
• Experienced Energy Engineer / Energy Management professional
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• Full driving licence
• Food manufacturing experience desirable
